Fast N’ Loud

Do you ever watch Fast N’ Loud, the TV show where they restore old cars? They start with a vehicle that looks like it’s beyond saving, and you think, “There’s no way this will work.” But with a lot of passion, dedication, and expertise, they always manage to turn it into something beautiful.

Sometimes, our work feels similar. A person walks in with years of growing or persistent complaints and has often tried numerous therapies, all of which helped temporarily, if at all, but never provided a real solution. Often, arthritis is already at play.

But we don’t get discouraged and get to work. Bit by bit—and often quite quickly—a miracle happens. That stiff neck, that sore back, the pain here or discomfort there… it disappears. People can move again, the pain diminishes, and often it vanishes completely.

Then it’s time to rebuild. Exercises must be done, muscle strength and balance improved. That’s when the therapies start to take effect. (Fortunately, we have a good network with local therapists and can easily refer patients if they don’t already have a therapist.)
